Mission Statement

Lake Mary High School will provide opportunities for all students to attain the knowledge and skills necessary for becoming lifelong learners and self- sufficient, contributing citizens.

Vision Statement

Lake Mary High School will be a model secondary school where we prepare our students, regardless of ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or personal challenges, to achieve at or above their grade level by every standard by which they are measured.

Philosophy Statement

We, the faculty and staff of Lake Mary High School, will provide an encouraging and enthusiastic environment that stimulates each student to develop a positive self-concept, a broad range of knowledge, responsible behavior,and the skills necessary for independence. We will use effective teaching methods and model positive attitudes so that all students may reach their potential. We will strive to instill in students an appreciation and desire for learning. We will rise to the challenge of giving our best to our students through optimism, hard work, dedication, creativity, and respect for others.

Beliefs

We believe that:

All students have the ability to learn. Each has unique talents, skills, capabilities, and experiences.
The education of our students is a partnership which includes parents, teachers, administrators, and all school and county personnel.
All students have the right to attend school free of fear, harm, and harassment.
It is our responsibility to provide students with an encouraging, enthusiastic environment.
The quality of services we offer our students directly influences their future development and success.
Continued staff development, evaluations, and communication are essential to creating a positive learning environment.
Every member of the Lake Mary High School community should be treated fairly, respectfully, and with dignity.
A respective approach toward new ideas, theories, and techniques will ensure that Lake Mary High School continues its tradition of excellence.
